Available for booking December 11th - April 20thJoin a winter jig fishing trip with a local fisherman and discover the best perch fishing spots on Lake Kitka, renowned for its expansive waters teeming with fish. The adventure begins with a snowmobile sled ride to the fishing locations, where you'll learn the techniques of winter jig fishing and, with luck, reel in plenty of perch.
After approximately one hour of fishing, we’ll continue to the fisherman’s cottage. There, we'll enjoy a steaming bowl of hot soup and prepare a delicious snack from our catch over the fireplace, all while soaking in the tranquility of the pristine Lappish nature. A warm, homemade berry juice will also be served. As we savor our meal and hot juice, we'll hear stories about the local way of life and traditional fishing practices.
Following the meal, we'll head back to the fisherman’s house in Mourusalmi, Posio, by snowmobile sled.
